TMD Disorder Treatment
Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are a group of more than 30 conditions that cause pain
and dysfunction in the jaw joint and muscles that control jaw movement.
What is TMD or Temporomandibular Dysfunction
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction is the compromised movement of the jaw joint and the surrounding muscles. The temporomandibular joint connects your jawbone to your skull and helps you chew through rotation and sliding of the joint. Compromised function of the joint can lead to joint or muscle pain, clicking, and, in extreme cases, reduced opening of the mouth.
